As a child, she was in hospital for 6 months before being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. His career in skating with Denis Samokhin that made him well-known. In 1993, the pair placed 8th at the Junior World Championships and in 1994 they finished 7th. After a brief collaboration with Maxim Kachanov, they placed sixth at the Goodwill Games of 1994. Later in 1995, she team together along with Vladimir Fedorov. The partnership was equally effective, since the team won the Finlandia Trophy on two occasions as well as competing at the Grand Prix of Figure Skating. They achieved more together however their most memorable moment was finishing 15th at 1998's World Championships.
