Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman from America. The current president is and controlling shareholder of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is a California native, and was raised by a wealthy family. Her father Jerry Buss was a real-estate tycoon, who was later the manager of the Lakers and other businesses related to sports. When her parents split in 1972 and she started to feel emotionally abandoned. At the age 19 she was appointed the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis club. Later, she founded the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. The position she held was president of Great Western Forum prior to becoming the vice-president of Lakers. Buss and her five sisters inherited his Lakers majority ownership following the passing of Busshis father in the year 2013. Every sister was given equal rights. Buss assumed the role of the president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss owns a co-owned business Women of Wrestling an pro-wrestling promotional business based out of Los Angeles.
